Studio 101 Designs staff served as project lead for this second story addition and complete remodel for a growing family, while working with Michelle Kaufmann. The existing mid-century home had good bones, so attention was paid to maintaining the feel of the building and making sure the addition blended with the neighboring houses. The house sits on a property that borders the Golden Gate National Recreation Area with unobstructed panoramic views of San Francisco, two bridges, Alcatraz, and the bay.
Design features include: reclaimed wood for siding and flooring, updated finishes throughout home, and an open floor plan with large windows for natural lighting and maximizing epic views in all rooms, including bathrooms.
