Scott Landry served as project lead for this 3 bedroom home while at Michelle Kaufmann Designs. The Woodacre house is based on a Kaufmann design and is sited on a flat bluff overlooking views of the rolling hills of Marin County. The house was shipped to the site as 3 factory-built main modules along with roof, floor and wall components to form the open central living and dining area. The factory-built house is connected to the garage via a site-built mudroom off the entry.
Some of its 'green' features include natural daylighting and cross-ventilation, sustainable bamboo and slate flooring, low-flow plumbing fixtures, low-VOC paint, FSC-certified cedar siding and cabinetry, and a solar photovoltaic system. Photography by John Swain
